EN 343
MASCOT workwear that is certified in accordance with the EN 343 standard protects against rain, lets the skin breathe and leads moisture away from the body.
EN 343 is a European standard for protective clothing. There are two versions of this standard among the products in MASCOT's range. Both versions test the workwear for its ability to withstand heavy water pressure and for its breathability.

EN 343:2019
If you work outdoors in all types of weather, it is essential that you are properly dressed. The EN 343:2019 standard has three values which indicate the level of protection the user gets when wearing the product. The first value indicates the product's waterproofness while the second value refers to the breathability of the overall product. Both values are assessed on a scale of 1–4, with 4 being the highest value. The third value is indicated by an R or an X. The R means the product has been tested during a downpour. This test is optional for the standard. X is the value given if the product has not been subjected to this test.

EN 343
This version has two values you can refer to. The first value indicates the overall product's waterproofness, while the second value refers to its overall breathability. Both values are assessed on a scale of 1–3, with 3 being the highest value.
Products certified in accordance with the EN 343 standard are also tested for, among other things, tear resistance and stretchability, whereby the product’s various layers are tested for their ability to retain their shape after repeated use.
